Missouri music at 200
celebrating the Missouri bicentennial
August 10, 2021 marked the state of Missouri’s bicentennial. To honor and reflect on this occasion, the American Wild Ensemble commissioned six composers to write new works inspired by Missouri history, culture, and geography and shares this collaborative program, including poetry, history, and guest speakers alongside our new music, in a series of live and virtual performances around the state in summer and fall 2021.
